Friday Night Lifes

I'm really on a roll, three blogs, three days in a row. That must be some sort of record for me. Every other time I've gone to "keep a journal" or some other record like that, I've been lucky to make it to day two. Making it to day three was completely unheard of until now. I think I deserve some sort of prize, or an award or something. No? No prize? No balloons or streamers or dancing clowns? Well thats just the pitts. You'd think the world would be a little bit nicer to people who actually accomplish something, but I guess not. Anyways, today has been a pretty swell day so far. For starters, its pay day. You can never have a bad day thats a pay day. That should be a written rule. Whoever said pay day is the saddest day of the month was either very very poor or rather pessimistic. Also, today is a Friday. Friday, being the second most hallowed day of the week, next to Saturunday (yes that is Saturday and Sunday mixed into one word, also known as the weekend). You would be suprised though, that sometimes Monday ranks rather high on the list of most hallowed days of the week. This occurs only during football season however, and can most descriptively be described as Monday-Night (i know its not a compound word, but in order for Monday to be hallowed it must be combined with the word 'Night' and football must also be aired on public television or on DirectTV). I might also add that Fridays in the small town of Heber means Red-Pin-Bowling. This event occurs weekly, and is often the cause of much stress relief and excitement for the participants. The lucky contestant who throws a strike on the bowling pins align with the red pin directly at the bow will receive one free game, redeemable at anytime. This sacred occurrence is practically worshiped by many teenage souls from the town of Heber, and a great number of them gather acrossed the street from Smiths to try their luck against the formidable bowling pins. The contest is always good fun to experience and observe. On with the good times though, as we also commemorate that this is the first Friday of the New Year. This occurs only once every year, and won't happen again for another 365 days. It is most wise to spend the night enjoying ones'self and celebrating all the good times soon to come. Also, I want to give my congratulations to Ladainian Tomlinson for sweeping the NFL MVP for 2007 voting. If memory serves me correctly, I believe he received 44/50 votes. Thats quite an achievement in today's league; especially with the likes of Peyton Maninng, Drew Bree's, and other stars who play at a similar intensity and level. If I were Travis, I would give him a big "Hut-Raw" and round it off with a dazzling shout out, but I'm not so we just won't go there...

  • i have to disagree with you... mondays NEVER make the "hallowed days" list! thats blasphemous, and you will most likely be smitten by "saturnday" for saying such a thing. the only time that monday is eligible for that list is during the summer. you crazy boy.
