A Very Long Night

Last night was one of the longest nights I've ever experienced. It all started when I went down to Orem to visit Sadie. I had no idea what we were gonna do when I got there, but I decided to go anyways. When I finally found Sadie's apartment I was greeted by one of Sadie's friends named Mike. Mike is 25 (i think) and is divorced. Mike is an interesting guy....he likes to sing a lot, and he plays the guitar all the time. He's pretty good at it though, so it was fun. While we sat and waited for Sadie and her roommate, Danelle, to finish getting ready Mike played and sang like ten songs. The ranged everywhere from Rascal Flatts to Howie Day to songs by artists I had never heard of (Here I might add that Danelle has the prettiest eyes of any girl I have ever seen. Becca Yeats has beautiful eyes, but Danelle's eyes are simply breathtaking). On with the night though, after Sadie and Danelle had finished getting ready we left the apartment and went to IHOP. At IHOP it was a little awkward because Danelle and Mike got up to go talk in the corner so it left just Sadie and I sitting there at our table. While Danelle and Mike were talking our waitress came like three or four times but we had to wait for the other them to come back before we could order. Finally then finished up their talk and we could order our food. I had a delicious Belgium Waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. After dinner we went over to Mikes apartment so he could change into workout clothes for his ward volleyball game that night. While he was changing we turned on the T.V. and watched the fourth quarter of the Jazz-Grizzlies game. Mike came back in with about two minutes left and watched the clock wind down to overtime with us. Just as overtime was about to start Mike said it was time to go so that he wouldn't be late for his volleyball game. We left his house and drove over to his church (I might add here that Sadie, Danelle, Mike, and I were all crammed into the cab of my truck....also Sadie was driving *big mistake*). When we got to the church the team that played before Mike's was still in the middle of their game. This upset me just a little cus we had plenty of time to stay and watch the overtime part of the basketball game but we didn't. We were at the church for a little bit when Sadie and I decided we didn't really want to play or watch volleyball. We didn't know what we wanted to do, but we didn't want to do volleyball. We told Mike and Danelle we were leaving, and they were cool with it so we left. We around for a bit and eventually decided to go see a movie. We saw Flushed Away, which was actually an ok show, and afterwords we went to Sadie's apartment. By the time we arrived at Sadie's residence it was a little after midnight. From Sadie's place we drove to Del Taco to get some food, then came back and sat around on the couches and talked for an hour or so. Around two thirty we decided to put in a movie, Catch Me If You Can (which happens to be like three hours long). Me and Sadie got comfortable on one couch, while Danelle and Mike cuddled on the other one. We watched the movie for a little bit but around three thirty Sadie finally called it quits and thats when I left. I drove home, got back around four, and crawled into my bed exhausted. My night with Sadie and her friends was rather long, but in the end it was quite the little adventure.
