The Fates Are Cruel

I've been re-connected! Thanks to a T-mobile customer service representative, my father, a postal deliver man (or woman), a machine in a factory somewhere, a mechanic, and the government, I now have a new cell phone and a new cell phone number. My old phone will soon be disposed of in an orderly fashion (preferably crushed to dust under a steamroller or dipped in acid), and once I pay the equivalent of the GNP of a small country to Verizon to cancel my old contract, I will be %100 a T-Mobile customer. My new phone is sleek, stylish (not cute), and works as well as I could ever hope for it to work. It has a built in mp3 player and is small enough to almost fit in my mouth. All in all I am very happy to have my new phone.

The fates have dealt my sister quite a bad hand this past week, and I can only hope I'm not their next target (knock on wood). Not only has she had boy troubles (*cough Mike Patterson*), school troubles, and church troubles, she got in an accident this morning. She slid on some black ice (no racial improvications here) and up onto a hill next to the Orem cemetery. From their she hailed me on my new phone and I gave her comfort, counsel, and advice until my dad arrived to save the day. Apparently she hit the curb with her tires, one of them blew, and she cascaded up onto the hill, leaving here with a clear view of the road below. Surely if I had been in her position I would have screamed at such a high pitch the windshield would've shattered and the broken glass would have slit my wrists, but she kept her cool and saved her screaming and yelling for when she called me. It has been said that every American will be involved in 2.6 car accidents in their lifetime. Luckily for my sister, she's already taken care of one of them and at such a young age too. Now that she has one behind her, she has only to be involved in 1.6 car accidents before she has met the quota and is protected from being involved in additional car accidents (if only this were the case).

Its been an interesting day so far. Everything from my boss getting mad at me for not giving him my right cell phone number, to my dad ignoring me while i'm explaining important information to him, clear up to not feeling a thing when I texted Kesia this afternoon. Hopefully the rest of the week will be either slightly more bearable, much more entertaining, or heaven forbid both but who knows. I guess i'll blog about it at the end of the week, so until then stay tuned and we'll let you know what happens.
